Not Ashamed
I am about to start my 16th year of Bible Study Fellowship. BSF is an in depth BIble study held all over the world. I remember my Aunt Jane inviting me all those years ago. I had a brand new baby. I was a first time Mom and to be honest, adding a weekly Bible Study time to my suddenly super busy schedule didn't seem feasible. And.... I'll admit, I was nervous.
Thankfully, I said yes and walked through the doors of the church not aware of the blessing that was on the other side.
Those first years were such a blur. We quickly added to our family. Many things changed over the years but BSF became a quiet constant. Through joys and sorrows I found a place to help me anchor to His Word. I'm so thankful for how the Lord has grown me through this group. There were many times I didn't want to go....didn't think I had time.... yet, over and over He has blessed. Sidenote.... If you are looking for a Bible Study consider this your inviation! This year we are starting a study of the book of Romans. What a book! In thinking about Romans, specifcially Romans 1:16, I wrote this song. I hope it conveys the wonder of salvation and the need for us to boldly share what God has done in our lives.
THE VERSE:
"For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile."

I was lost in my sin, broken within
